Peter J. Horton, Esq. Associate
Peter J. Horton is an associate with Adams, Ferrone, & Ferrone and joined the firm in 2004. Peter specializes in the areas of internal affairs investigations, labor contract grievances and has handled numerous disciplinary hearings including arbitrations and appeals before the State Personnel Board. Peter has also litigation experience in workers’ compensation.
Peter has extensive litigation experience with cases involving mandatory injunctions and writs of mandate under the Public Safety Officers’ Procedural Bill of Rights. Along with disciplinary experience, Peter has handled numerous criminal defense cases.
Prior to joining Adams, Ferrone and Ferrone, Peter worked for a San Diego law firm specializing in the representation of class action suits related to shareholder derivatives, securities fraud, merger and acquisition, consumer fraud, privacy, antitrust, and insurance.
Peter is a lecturer for the Peace Officers’ Research Association of California Internal Affairs seminars.
Peter received his law degree from California Western School of Law and passed the California Bar in 2003. He graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Writing in 2000.
